Sound Hotspots

A Sound hotspot places positional audio in your scene: sound that gets louder as a visitor looks toward it and quieter as they look away. This adds a layer of realism, like the hum of a fountain in one corner of a courtyard, or ambient sound tied to a specific spot.

Setting up a Sound hotspot

  1. Drag the Sound hotspot icon onto your panorama, at the spot the sound should seem to come from.
  2. Upload or choose an audio file from your Media Library.
  3. Configure the settings:
    • Volume: A range from 10–100.
    • Directional falloff ("reach"): Set in degrees. This controls how narrow or wide the directional effect is: a narrow reach makes the sound very focused, while a wide reach lets it be heard from more angles.
    • Autoplay: Turn on if you want the sound to start playing automatically when the scene loads.
    • Loop: Turn on to have the sound repeat continuously.
    • Click behavior: Choose whether clicking the hotspot again pauses the sound, or restarts it from the beginning.

Note that browsers block audio from autoplaying without visitor interaction, so visitors may see a one-time prompt asking them to allow audio. This is standard browser behavior, not something specific to your tour.

As with other hotspots, you can set a custom icon, size, and individual password protection. See Hotspots Overview for more.
