View Settings & Default View

Every scene has a "default view": the direction and zoom level a visitor sees the moment they land on that scene. Setting this thoughtfully helps orient visitors and makes transitions between scenes feel natural.

Setting the default view

1. Open the scene in the editor.
2. Navigate the panorama to the angle and zoom level you want visitors to see first.
3. Open the View Settings tool, a floating toolbar that appears over the panorama.
4. Click "Set Default View."

That's it. The next time anyone visits that scene, they'll land facing this direction.

Setting a view limit

The same View Settings tool lets you set a "view limit," which restricts how far a visitor can pan (left, right, up, or down) or zoom in and out. This is useful for:

• Hiding a stitching seam in the panorama.
• Keeping the visitor's attention focused on a specific area of the scene.

Little Planet preview

View Settings also includes a "Little Planet" toggle, which previews the panorama as a fun, distorted tiny-planet effect. This is a creative preview option. For a lasting tiny-planet effect as part of your published tour, see the Little Planet plugin in the Marketplace.
