Cloud Hosting vs. Self-Hosting

There are two ways to publish and host your finished tour, depending on how much control you want and whether you have your own web hosting.

Cloud Hosting

With Cloud Hosting, Lapentor hosts your tour on its own servers. This is the default way most users publish, and it's the simplest option: publishing is instant, with no technical setup or file uploads required on your part. As soon as your tour is ready, your link, embed code, and QR code are ready to share.

Self-Hosting

With Self-Hosting, you export your project as a downloadable zip file containing all the images and source code needed to run the tour independently. You then upload and unzip that file on your own web server.

Self-hosting gives you full control and independence from Lapentor's hosting, but it does require some technical knowledge: specifically, having a web server to upload the files to.

Which should you choose?

Choose Cloud Hosting if you want the simplest path with nothing to manage yourself. Choose Self-Hosting if you need to host the tour on your own domain or infrastructure, or want a version of the tour that doesn't depend on Lapentor's servers.
