Self-Hosting Export

If you want to host your tour on your own web server instead of Lapentor's cloud, you can export it as a self-contained package. See Cloud Hosting vs. Self-Hosting for how this compares to the default hosting option.

How to export

1. From the Dashboard, hover over the project you want to export and choose "Export", or open the project's Download page.
2. Complete the one-time $10 purchase for that project. This is separate from any subscription plan. If you already have a card on file, you'll simply be charged; if you're a new customer, you'll be asked to enter your card details first.
3. Once payment is complete, you'll receive a downloadable zip file containing all the images and source code needed to run the tour.
4. Upload and unzip that file on your own web hosting server. The tour will work immediately, with no extra configuration needed.

Re-downloading and re-exporting

You can re-download and re-export the same purchased project as many times as you like, at no extra charge, even after making further edits to it. There's no need to pay again for the same project.

If something goes wrong

If the export process seems stuck, refresh your browser and try again. You won't be charged twice. Refreshing the Download page will show the generated link once it's ready. If no link appears after a reasonable wait, contact support via Live Chat.

A note for Mac users

The exported tour can also be packaged as a standalone desktop "Lapentor Viewer" app. Because this app isn't signed or notarized by Apple, macOS Gatekeeper will block it from opening with a security warning the first time you try to launch it. To run it, you may need to allow the app in System Settings > Privacy & Security, or remove its quarantine flag using Terminal, before it will open.
